In the modern-day world, the overwhelming amount of information about food and what's healthy/unhealthy can create a variety of eating disorders.
One of those disorders is orthorexia and it is characterized by an obsession with eating "pure" food.
Here are the main differences between a healthy eater and an orthorexic eater:
1. Healthy people know what they are eating, orthorexic eaters are always concerned.
2. Healthy eaters enjoy eating out with friends, while orthorexic eaters avoid eating things they have not prepared themselves
3. Healthy eaters occasionally eat junk food, while orthorexic eaters consider unhealthy food wrong.
4. Healthy eaters always have all the essential nutrients their bodies need, while orthorexic people tend to show signs of malnutrition
5. Healthy eaters eat everything they find fit for their taste, while orthorexic people totally exclude certain food groups
6. Healthy eaters know all the basics of healthy nutrition, while orthorexic eaters tend to always look for more and more information
Which side are you on?
